Special challenge
Together with Tribe, Kingcanary, Backbone, and Skills, we produced this unique festival on behalf of the City of Amsterdam. On June 21st, the longest day of the year, a large section of the A10 ring road was closed off for a party that was intended to be one of the highlights of Amsterdam’s anniversary year. The unique location, the exceptional collaboration with so many different parties and organizations, the constant scrutiny of the media, and the extremely short setup time made it a very educational and challenging project.
From Amsterdam, for Amsterdam
We spoke with numerous Amsterdam initiatives and put together a program featuring sports and games, music, dance, fashion, food and drinks, a forest with 750 trees, fashion, science, art, and plenty of festivities from all over the city. And 20 couples were given the opportunity to get married.
Nice and short
The ring road was closed for 39 hours. In that short time, 15 kilometers of festival grounds were set up, the entire festival took place, and it was also dismantled and cleaned. It was all unique. And fantastic. The 200,000 visitors together made it a huge party. We will never forget that.
